What is the Rolls-Royce I Accelerator?

Rolls-Royce has partnered with EDI to create this hybrid work experience programme for students interested in degree apprenticeships in engineering (Defence). You’ll get to work on a live project brief from a truly iconic business and learn how Rolls-Royce is pushing the limits of power and defence. At Rolls-
Royce, our mission is to innovate efficient and sustainable power solutions to meet our customers’ operational requirements and to protect our planet, secure our world and explore the universe. You’ll gain an invaluable insight into engineering (defence) enabling you to develop skills transferable to the world of work. Complete the week and you’ll also have the opportunity to be fast-tracked through the first stage of the degree apprenticeship application process.

Location: Hybrid (3 days virtual 2 days in Bristol)
Time: 9.30am - 4pm every day

Who should apply?
• Black, Asian and ethnic minority students in year 13 Students with:
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 including Maths, English Language (and Science for Engineering)
• Predicted A Levels/ BTEC equivalent to 96 – 112 UCAS Points

How will the Rolls-Royce I Accelerator work?
Each student will work in a team of five to develop a solution to a challenge, presenting this back to senior leaders on the last day of their hybrid work experience. Various workshops will be delivered throughout the week, and students will get the opportunity to develop their professional network.

Additional entry requirements for engineering roles
112 UCAS points (obtained or predicted) from either:
Three A-levels at grade C, one must be Maths, and one of the following subjects; Biology; Chemistry; Computing/Computer Science; Design and Technology; Electronics; Engineering; ICT; Further Maths; Music Technology; Physics; Statistics. Plus one other, excluding General Studies

Due to the nature of our work, you need a legal right to live and work in the UK. Only apply if you can attend all five days.
