About Microsoft Embrace Schools Program - Evolve Your Tech Career

Microsoft EMBRACE ERG* are launching a Schools programme in collaboration with Everything D&I. The aim of the school engagement programme is to improve representation of Black Heritage, Asian and Ethnic Minorities within technology and Microsoft at all levels. The programme will inspire students and equip them with skills to reach their early-in-career potential.

Who should apply? Teachers or School/College Coordinators
Target Audience: Year 12 and Year 13 Students – Black Heritage, Asian and Ethnic Minorities
Discipline: Any Disciplines

How will the mentoring programme work?

  • Microsoft employees from the mentoring pool will be assigned based on location to deliver a session on a date agreed with you.
  • Share career journey
  • Practical skill sharing
  • Inspire careers in technology
  • Showcase the diversity in technology
  • Create awareness of the various roles from tech to business insight into what Microsoft is looking for in interviews from future candidates and STAR methodFollowed by a discussion on:
    ‒ Career Journey of a Microsoft Employee
    ‒ LinkedIn and Personal Branding
    ‒ What makes a standout CV
